The Role:
The Compensation Consultant is a critical role for Fouriet moving forward as it continues rapid growth. The ideal candidate will be excited about building & scaling a cutting-edge benefits function. This role will lead worldwide benefits and will be a critical member of HR leadership. They will be expected to contribute to overall strategic decisions & leadership in the HR function while constantly thinking one step ahead.
At the core of the consultant’s mandate will be to continually elevate the benefits strategy to support the company’s growth, M&A integration, and competition for talent. This hands-on leader will work alongside their team to operationalize that strategy and ensure it is embraced broadly across the organization. In order to fulfill the strategic and operational mandate for this role, the leader must excel at quantitative thinking as well as qualitative team leadership.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with the Global Compensation team, HR, and leadership teams to suggest changes, analyze performance and ensure equitable and consistent rewards that are aligned with Fouriet’s global Total Rewards philosophy
- Use thorough understanding of compensation plan design and administrative procedures to drive constant improvement
- Continually evaluate current compensation practices to find better ways to get the job done, innovative ways to solve problems, and employ a scrappy/hands-on approach
- Stay current on all compensation regulations and ensure compliance with legal requirements and other regulations that may govern total reward plans
- Provide exceptional customer service and support to employees as needed to resolve questions, concerns or take feedback
- Assist in the implementation of new programs and changes to plans and/or administrative procedures
- Partner closely with the Staffing team to appropriately align pay with our competitive practice and philosophy
Qualifications:
- 6+ years of Compensation related experience. Candidate with HR consulting firm background will be preferred
- Expert in job evaluation, market benchmark, job pricing & comp structure design
- Strong understanding of broad-based compensation programs (base pay/allowances/variable pay), pay for performance, etc.
- Experiences of China blue-collar compensation programs, auto industry if possible, will be preferred
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Deep interest in analyzing data and the ability to see beyond the numbers to drive sound decision-making
- Working knowledge of Greater China regulations
- Ability to develop strong relationships with all levels of management
- Possess high level of integrity. Be widely trusted, direct and truthful, with the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships and gain confidence
- Solutions and client service-oriented, with an emphasis on problem solving
