Supply Chain Manager

The Role:

Commodity Managers work with Engineering teams to make sure Fouriet has the supplies and equipment to put into production the innovative products coming from our Engineering teams. As a Commodity Manager, you use your wide industry knowledge and strategic supplier relationships to optimize our total cost of ownership for our global — and growing — infrastructure. The scale at which Fouriet operates means that savings on just one piece of hardware can have a huge impact on Fouriet’s bottom line.

Responsibilities:

• Identify, develop, negotiate and manage development of various mechanical parts.
• Work closely with industrial designers and product designers to develop and fulfill design concepts.
• Provide on-site management of enclosure manufacturing partners to manage the development builds, risk mitigation and ramp.
• Schedule capacity and supply planning to meet production demands.
• Evaluate technical and business risks using data based analysis and develop risk mitigation alternatives.

Qualifications:

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or equivalent practical experience
• 5 years of experience in procurement and product launches for mechanical components, tooling and fixtures.
• Experience with mechanical development, manufacturing process development, supply chain development, CNC machined parts, die cast, MIM, stamping, fixtures, injection molding, gaskets, and die cuts.

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience working cross-functionally with industrial design, development, legal and operations.
• International experience in the Asian market.
• Experience working in multinational environments.
• Knowledge of product development, manufacturing processes and supply chain management.
• Demonstrated success working in multinational environments and motivated by accomplishing objectives
• Strong project management, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
